EDM is in Paris for the IATA Cabin Operations & Safety Conference which is being held at the Meridien Etoile Hotel from Tuesday 5th May to Thursday 7th May 2015.

Whilst at the conference, EDM will be meeting with airline customers, industry regulators and safety experts to discuss topics that are crucial to effective and efficient cabin operations safety.

Lee Whittaker, EDM’s Sales Executive said:

“EDM is a leader in developing precision engineered training and simulation solutions that are bespoke, cost-effective and innovative and in-line with this expertise, EDM will be aiming to highlight the importance of training and the increasing use and effectiveness of simulated training devices.”

EDM’s cabin crew training equipment is designed and produced using licensed data from Boeing, Airbus and other major aircraft manufacturers and is fully compliant with international aviation authority standards. The company has a proven track-record for delivering projects on all aircraft types and EDM’s product range includes door trainers, cabin emergency evacuation trainers, cabin service trainers and cabin mock-ups.

The company was recently selected by Singapore Airlines to design and manufacture an A350 door trainer and this appointment follows the delivery of an A350 door trainer to Cathay Pacific. EDM is currently working with Ethiopian Airlines to supply multiple cabin crew training equipment and two extended B767 and Bombardier Q400 door trainers are to be installed in Addis Ababa shortly. Work is continuing on an A350 door trainer and two cabin emergency evacuation trainers for the African carrier.

Lee Whittaker adds:

“We are looking forward to engaging with airlines at this event and demonstrating the value of using simulated training equipment to bring a greater understanding of safety procedures and practical training to cabin crew as well as enhancing the airline’s training effectiveness.”
