EDM Limited is supporting the 3rd African Training Conference & Exhibition in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, over the next two days. The event focuses on critical training and manpower issues facing Africa’s aviation industry.
The company is especially pleased to participate at the event which is hosted by Ethiopian Airlines and Ethiopian Aviation Academy, since EDM has been working with the Ethiopian flag carrier over the last year on the supply of a comprehensive range of cabin crew equipment comprising of:-
• A350 Door Trainer
• Extended B767 Door Trainer
• Extended Q400 Door Trainer
• Narrowbody Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer (CEET) on an Electric Motion System

Ethiopian Airlines is constructing a new cabin crew training centre in Addis Ababa and EDM will install the simulated training equipment at the new site once construction is completed. To date, EDM has completed the Factory Acceptance Tests on the extended B767 and Bombardier Q400 door trainers.
Lee Whittaker, EDM’s Sales Executive, will be attending the event and said:
“Over a significant number of years EDM has provided highly effective cabin and flight crew training equipment for the world’s leading airlines. Our equipment delivers training solutions which underpin operational safety and efficiency and we are therefore perfectly positioned to engage in the conversation which focuses on the cabin crew training issues facing Africa’s civil aviation industry.”
Speaking at the conference will be Mr. Tewolde Gebremariam, Chief Executive Officer at Ethiopian Airlines and Mr. Samuel Assefa Zewde, Managing Director, Ethiopian Aviation Academy. A guided tour of Ethiopian Aviation Academy will also take place on the final afternoon.
