Turkish Airlines B737NG Door Trainer passes Factory Acceptance Test

EDM is pleased to announce that Turkish Airlines has approved the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for their new B737NG Door Trainer and the training device is now ready to be shipped for installation at Turkish Airlines’ Flight Training Centre in Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport.

The equipment incorporates all of the usual features which have come to be associated with EDM’s world-class door trainers and will include the following equipment:

• L1 Main entry door
• Emergency Over wing exit with simulated malfunctions
• Simulated interiors, partitions and obstructions
• Flight attendant seats with harnesses
• Passenger compartments including overhead stowage bins and two rows of triple passenger seats
• Partially functional forward attendant panel (FAP)
• Instructor console
• Enhanced PLC control system
• Digital sound system
• Simulated force/feel system when opening doors
• Electric door drive system
• Online Diagnostics System
