EDM has been selected by Philippine Airlines to design and manufacture a Boeing B777 Door Trainer for the airline. EDM was selected by Philippine Airlines as part of an international tender and will develop the simulated training device at its manufacturing premises in Manchester, United Kingdom. Delivery and installation is expected in early 2014 at Philippine Airlines’ training centre in Manila.
The B777 Door Trainer will comprise a fully functional door with attendant seat, local monuments and EDM’s standard door trainer features. In addition, the Philippine Airlines Door Trainer will include a functional girt bar, simulated area call panel, oxygen drop down masks and a part functional cabin attendant panel.
Tony Bermingham, EDM’s Managing Director said:
“EDM is delighted to welcome Philippine Airlines as a new customer of our world-class cabin crew training devices. EDM is the leading provider of cabin crew door trainers and as a company, we are committed to designing, manufacturing and delivering training solutions which meet rigorous standards of quality, functionality and reliability.
