NWAA Plane Talk

EDM are currently we are working on a project to supply Air China with two highly complex cabin crew training simulators. The cabin emergency evacuation trainers will incorporates a three axis motion system with the usual door and slide training elements but will also features a visual system, communications, sounds and smells. We have developed and implemented a series of auto-programmed lessons that can be referenced against the manufacturers and regulatory authority standards, and the ability for the training instructor to create their own lesson plans. The development of this product future-proofs the equipment and allows the greatest scope for flexibility in training.
EDM have also been fundamental in providing training equipment to support the new Sukhoi Superjet SJ100, delivering a door trainer unit to the Aeroflot training centre and a cabin emergency evacuation tilt motion trainer to Venice with one planned for delivery to Moscow later this year. Our B787 door trainer is currently on its way to Moscow to be exhibited at MAKS, Russian Air Show

It’s been a very busy year for EDM, with deliveries of a B767 and A320 door trainer to ANA, A380 door trainer to China Southern and proudly we proudly announce our most recent contract award to supply the Boeing ‘Dream liner’ launch customers, ANA with a B787 door trainer.
