Tailored to match customer's specific requirements, the EDM cabin emergency evacuation trainer provides a high quality, realistic training environment for Airbus manufactured aircraft.

The cabin emergency evacuation trainer (CEET) provides a comprehensive solution to multi-functional enhanced training, with the flexibility to be utilised for door operation, evacuation procedures, fire and smoke training, cabin communications and aircraft systems familiarisation.

The cabin fuselage is built using original Airbus manufacturer’s data. The cabin emergency evacuation trainer incorporates one or more of our standard simulated doors and exits and the cabin interior is faithfully representative of Airbus or your airline’s specific branding. Our choice of materials are ideally suited to the demands of the practical training environment.

All of our cabin training equipment can be installed at ground level or at height to accommodate training slides.

For complete Cabin Crew training and situational awareness, an EDM CEET can be configured as a static or motion based device with a fully integrated visual and audio system, providing a multi- sensory training experience. The lesson plans offer the flexibility of auto-programmed training scenarios, fulfilling mandatory requirements or bespoke, individual instructor planning.

EDM provide the full range of Cabin Emergency Evacuation Training equipment to support Airbus narrow body aircraft.

EDM supplied an A320 CEET to Air Mauritius and an A319 CEET to Easy Jet.

Easy Jet specified a combination A319/B737 Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer to form the cornerstone of their practical training at their Luton based training centre.

The Easy Jet CEET comprised of door trainers for the A319 main door and type III overwing exit, and a B737 main door and B737 classic overwing exit.
The fixed base ground level trainer is a fully integrated system designed to train Cabin Crew emergency procedures for door operation and malfunctions, fire fighting, smoke filled cabin and decompression in a highly realistic environment.

Latest news.....................

Currently EDM are working on a project to supply Air China with a complex A330 Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainer (CEET). The cabin emergency evacuation trainer will incorporate a three axis motion system, with the standard door and slide training elements. Additional features will include a visual system, communications, sounds and smells.

EDM have also developed and implemented a series of auto-programmed lessons that can be referenced against the manufacturers and regulatory authority standards, with the ability for the training instructor to create their own lesson plans. The development of this product future-proofs the equipment and allows the greatest scope for flexibility in training.

The Cabin Emergency Evacuation trainer will re-create the whole sensory experience with visuals at each window. The visual database is generic and can be adapted to show push back/taxy/ take off and landing.

This attention to detail carries over to the audio, where aircraft sound effects are reproduced from acoustic recordings made during aircraft operation. The sounds from each phase of flight are replicated accurately, rather than simply digitally engineered, thus enhancing the training experience significantly.

Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainers options include:

  • Static or motion platform
  • Pre-programmed training scenarios
  • Bespoke instructor created lesson planning
  • Full window visual system and audio simulation
  • Cockpit mock up – Operational DV windows and pilot seats
  • Oxygen mask deployment system
  • In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) panels
  • Fire and smoke generation and smoke extraction system
  • CCTV video monitoring
