EDM staff had their own “Bake-off” today when they took part in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Volunteers got their aprons, baking trays and recipe books out to make cakes and tasty treats for colleagues to try with their cup of tea at break times.

There was a diverse range of tasty delights on offer from Victoria sponge, chocolate cake, chocolate brownies, scones, muffins, biscuits and more! There was also a competition to guess the number of hundreds and thousands on a big heart-shaped orange and marmalade cake.

Cakes were sold slice by slice and the total raised reached £165.70 with all proceeds going to Macmillan.

Abi Hodson, one of EDM’s Macmillan Volunteers said:

“Coffee and cake makes us stronger in so many ways. It’s a warm and welcome break in the middle of a busy day and a chance to get to know the people we work with better. Best of all, our coffee morning will help to grow the support that Macmillan can offer to people facing cancer in Manchester.”

A big thank you to all at EDM who supported this event!
