EDM announces multiple deliveries for various global airline customers

EDM is pleased to announce a number of milestones in several of its commercial aviation programmes including:-

• Delivery and installation of B777 and B767 Door Trainers to All Nippon Airline’s training centre in Ota-ku, Tokyo
• Delivery and installation of B777-300ER and Bombardier CRJ1000 Door Trainers to Garuda Indonesia’s training centre in Jakarta, Indonesia
• American Airlines’ B787 extended Door Trainer has passed Factory Acceptance Test and installation is scheduled for May 2014 at American’s training centre in Fort Worth, Dallas
• Delivery and installation of two B777 Door Trainers to China Eastern Airlines’ cabin crew training centre in Shanghai

Speaking about the project delivery updates, Tony Bermingham, EDM’s Managing Director said:

“This clearly shows EDM’s ability to work on multiple projects and deliver them on time to customers located in different parts of the world.”

Following the Site Acceptance Test of the B777 and B767 Door Trainers, ANA Trading’s Mr. Taka Shinohara-san said: “Thanks to EDM’s great work, ANA signed SAT documents today and the DTs are ready for training. Especially, we really appreciate EDM’s hard work and great support on this project.”

The B777 and B767 Door Trainers are EDM’s most recent work for ANA; EDM has previously delivered a number of Door Trainers to the airline including A320, B767F and B787.

Delivery of Garuda Indonesia’s Door Trainers is the first phase of a major programme of work which also includes the development of a dedicated Cabin Service Trainer which is to feature the airline’s new premium class cabin products. EDM is working in co-operation with Xi’an Feibao, its Chinese partner company, to deliver the Cabin Service Trainer project.

The American Airlines B787 extended Door Trainer is EDM’s fourth B787 customer; EDM has established itself as the lead supplier for Dreamliner cabin training equipment after becoming the first company to develop a simulated door trainer when the aircraft type launched. EDM has supplied B787 door trainers to All Nippon Airways, Continental Airlines and China Southern.

China Eastern is a new addition to EDM’s Chinese customer base and the B777 deliveries follow the recent manufacture and installation of an A320 Door Trainer to the airline by EDM at the end of last year. EDM has now supplied all major Chinese airlines with their cabin crew training equipment.
